  19. TO RUN PROGRAM, RUN THIS FILE: WARE.EXE
  20.  
  21. 1) What does this program do?
  22.  
  23.     Have you ever downloaded or purchased a shareware application or game that has an expiry 
  24. date? This means that you can only use the shareware program for a certain amount of time. 
  25. "Shareware? Not!" sets the date on your computer to a date that is much earlier than the expiry 
  26. date on your shareware application or game, and when you finish using that shareware program it 
  27. sets your computer to the current date, enabling you to use the program for as long as you wish!

  29. 2) How do I use this program?
  30.  
  31.     "Shareware? Not!" is a standard Windows application. To add a shareware program to the 
  32. list of programs you can run, you simply press the "Add" button. This will show a dialog box 
  33. where you input the necessary information about the program you wish to run. It will ask you for 
  34. the path of your program. That is, where the program is located on your hard drive. Also, it will
  35. ask you for the name of the program. Most importantly, you must select a date to be set when the
  36. program is prompted to run. That is, if the expiry date on the program is December 1, 1996, you 
  37. can set the date to January 1, 1980. Press the button "Done" when you are finished. Now the name
  38. of the program will appear on the "Shareware? Not!" main screen (the screen that shows up when 
  39. "Shareware? Not!" is run). Click on the name to run the program. Refer to the FAQ for questions.

  41.     After using the program, click on the button "Restore". This will restore the current 
  42. date back to your computer, and click on the button "Refresh" before running another program 
  43. through "Shareware? Not!"

  45.     Refer to the section "How do I register this program?" to learn how to be able to run
  46. more than three program through "Shareware? Not!".

  49. 3) FAQ:

  51. Q: Why is it that when I click on the name of the program I wish to run, I still get the expiry 
  52. date message?
  53.  
  54. A: On some faster systems (Pentium 100 and higher), "Shareware? Not!" isn't given the time 
  55. to change the date on your computer before running the shareware program. To overcome this, 
  56. simply click on the name of the program a second time, and the program should then launch.    
  57.  
  58. Q: Sometimes, the current date isn't always restored. How do I get it back?
  59.     
  60. A: Double click on the date indicator in the "Shareware? Not!" program (above the "Exit" button).
  61. It will prompt you to input the current date, and when finished press the "OK" button to change 
  62. the date on your computer.

  66. By registering this program, you will be able to run as many programs as you want through 
  67. "Shareware? Not".
